2nd Anniversary Event of La Plume Française

The much awaited event of La Pume Française, it’s 2nd anniversary cultural event, was held on 15th August, 2023.
The Welcoming of the Guests:
The welcoming of the guests, by Saurabh Sengupta, the Director of La Plume Française, and Sucheta Sadhankar, a student of LPF, announced the commencement of a beautiful soirée. The dynamic and informative speeches of the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Tejindar Singh Rawal, Treasurer of India Peace Centre, and Mr. Sunil Sengupta, Co-Director of La Plume Française were the cynosure of all eyes.

Felicitation of Meritorious Students
To encourage and motivate the students of French, La Plume Française sponsored prizes for the meritorious students. According to their academic performance, students were given French books.
Distribution of Official T-Shirts
La Plume Française honored Antara Joshi, Siddhi Kailkar, and Swapnesh Ramteke for managing and conducting free summer camp French classes organized by St. John’s School and Saving Dreamz Foundation, respectively, in collaboration with La Plume Française. They were felicitated with official LPF T-Shirts for their hard work.

A Tapestry of Cultures
The event masterfully presented the strong ties between India and France with its magnificent blend of Indian and French culture. The students of La Plume Française presented many traditional as well as western performances, to the delight of the audience.
The Bharatnyatam performed by the talented students of Sucheta Sadhankar enchanted the audience and left them spellbound.

Harmonious Melodies and Rhythms
The audience jived to the tunes of the various songs performed by the students of La Plume Française. From « Je ne veux pas travailler », a French song performed by a group of students to a Hindi song performed by O.N. Mukherjee, the Vice Chairman of IWWA. Poetry recitation by Siddhi Kailkar, executive member and a student of L.P.F, moved the audience.
The venue echoed with the beautiful voices of every participant.

Sharing One’s Feelings
Several students of La Plume Française took the opportunity to come to the stage and share their experience of learning French in La Plume Française and how it impacted their lives positively. They showered Mr. Sunil Sengupta, the Head Professor of the language in the institution, with praises for his unmatched teaching skills and friendly approach to language teaching. They also elaborated on the benefits of having access to the massive and ever-growing forum and language database that LPF provides to its students to aid them in their language learning journey.

Brainstorming à la française!
The knowledge of the students were put to test through a quiz competition conducted by Mr. Swapnesh Ramteke, executive member and student of La Plume Française. A multitude of questions were posed related to French language and France. The audience actively participated in the quiz.

Leaving a Lasting Impact
La Plume Française achieved its goal to provide a platform to all the French students to showcase their talents and abilities, and this was quite evident when some students approached the directors of LPF and shared their feedback about the event and how it galvanized them to « try something new ». Some students jubilantly narrated their experience of learning new French songs for their participation in the event, which gave a massive boost to their confidence !

The Journey, more interesting than the destination!
The event ended with some light refreshments. The students of LPF gathered and talked and enjoyed together. The scene lit up with the happy voices of the students who exchanged their ideas and conversed in French.
The success of the event encourages us to organize many such events in the future to come!
